In
order to make it through med school, I’ve learned one important thing to master
is good time management. Along those
lines, it’s important to find extracurricular activities that give you
much-deserved breaks from all that studying.
While I must admit a lot of my free time is wasted away mindlessly
watching television, many students joined the school’s soccer club. Not only is it a fun and competitive way to
get in a little exercise, it is also a great way to meet people from different
classes! The indoor league (which I
believe just ended) met every Wednesday and played teams from all over
town. The other week, I went to watch
the two KSUCPM teams play against each other.
Everyone looked like they were having so much fun! I know I’ll be signing up for it next year!

Happy New Year! A personal resolution of mine is to write more blogs, so I figured I’d better get to it! This past weekend our class took a study break and headed downtown to catch a Cavaliers game. In the end, the Cavs fell to the Rockets but we scored free scarves, witnessed a surprise proposal and had too much fun making posters. It was a great way to experience Cleveland and there are all sorts of fun restaurants and bars near to really complete the night. Plus! Since professional sports in Cleveland haven’t necessarily had the best records lately, tickets are pretty cheap! I highly recommend taking your own study break and go cheer on the Cavs. Except for February 2nd, then you will root for the Thunder… right?
