Cleveland Rocks!
Literally…
What do the following
musicians all have in common?
-Bone Thugs n Harmony
-Reliant K
-The Black Keys
-Marilyn Manson
-Dean Martin
-Doris Day
-Doris Day
-Kid Cudi
-The Pretenders
Obviously not their style of
music, but these musicians have all called Ohio home. There are so many artists that stem from
Cleveland and the rest of Ohio. In fact
the Rock & Roll Music Hall of Fame can be found right in downtown
Cleveland. A couple weeks ago a group of
classmates and I decided to check it out.
We all had a great time!
Another shining moment? Being as close as I’ll ever be to a real-life
Grammy Award (it was Michael Jackson’s).
Unless, of course, I become the next only Podiatrist/Hip Hop
star. We only spent a couple of hours at
the museum, but you could surely make a day of it. There are so many movies and videos
throughout the museum, plus more memorabilia than imaginable. I encourage you
to visit the Hall of Fame next time you have the opportunity! Unfortunately I don’t have many pictures to
share, it’s pretty much a camera forbidden zone. But hopefully that mystery alone has you
dying enough to go check it out for yourself!
Tickets are about $22 but if you show a student ID it’s only $17. That $5 saved can go a long way in the life
of student!
Afterwards we walked around
downtown in search of food. What would
appear to be a simple task for over a dozen hungry med students turned out to
be surprisingly hard. After what seemed like hours of mindless
wandering (it was probably only 20 minutes), we ended up at The Hard Rock
Café. It was great fun getting to know
each other and grab a good bite before the inevitable doom of studying
unfolded!
